A film poster is a poster used to advertise a film. There may be several versions for one film, with variations in regards to size, content and country of production of the poster.
A single visual image representing a QuickTime movie. You specify a poster as a point in time in the movie and specify the tracks that are to be used to constitute the poster image.

Animal Charm Poster

A contest I entered on Talenthouse.com. The contest was to design the movie poster for the upcoming indie flick "Animal Charm" starring Sadie Frost (Best know for her role as Lucy in Bram Stokers Dracula). Not much was said about the movie to make a poster. But from the visuals shown in the video as well as the stills found online, I noticed that the movie has a lot of bold colors and deep shadows. So I brought those bold colors and shadows into the poster. What stood out to me were Sadie Frosts character which made a cool silhouette and the three women wearing masks. Together they made a interesting composition for a movie poster (in my thoughts). Also I skewed the angle for a more dramatic effect and better use of the poster size. I had fun working with a limited palette. It came out very bold. I hope you like it.

Movie Poster copy

For my movie poster I chose to do a chick flick themed movie. It’s about two couple but the guy and girl from each have a secret love between the two of them. For my poster I used a digital picture and then erased the whole background. I made a new layer and made Lyndsay and Zach black and white using the lasso tool. I also used the clone stamp tool to make their hands black and white as well. I put an image of a heart behind me and Sean’s heads then added two other smaller hearts on the sides. I added effects the the title and the cast names. Then I found a rating logo online and brought it in. I made up the "Love can get tricky…" saying for the movie.
